    Meet Krog.

Barbarian. Warrior. Owner of far too many muscles, far too little brainpower, and a sword so unnecessarily enormous that even the people writing his story have concerns.

Krog's mission should be simple: journey to the sinister tower of the thoroughly evil Deadvutts, confront unspeakable darkness, rescue a wench or two, acquire fabulous treasure and possibly save the world.

It does not go to plan.

    At all.

What follows is a gloriously chaotic fantasy adventure involving lice-ridden goats, questionable taverns, inexplicable ninjas, monstrous creatures, cannibal goat-men, prophecies, suspiciously convenient magical equipment, a bartender with an unhealthy enthusiasm for collectible figurines, and an alarming number of people who appear to be considerably more competent than the hero.

And that's before Krog actually reaches the tower.

The Chronicles of Krog the Grim was written collaboratively by a group of independent authors, with different writers taking the story and continuing the increasingly ridiculous adventures of its unfortunate cast.

The result is fantasy where continuity is more of a suggestion, chapter numbering is apparently optional, character names have a habit of evolving, narrators argue with the story, plot threads appear without warning, and nobody—not even the authors—seems entirely certain what Krog is going to do next.

A deliberately ridiculous parody of old-school sword-and-sorcery fantasy, packed with absurdity, crude humour, terrible decisions, self-aware narration and one spectacularly stupid barbarian.

If you like your fantasy epic, heroic and meticulously constructed… this may have been a terrible purchasing decision.

If you like it completely unhinged, welcome to Krog.
